How They Destroyed Him for Saying No
Theyâre supposed to work for usâremember?
Thatâs what we were told.
But if that were true, how come no one can name a single person whose life genuinely got better⌠because of politics? Because of a politician?
Let me tell you a story. Unfortunately, itâs not fiction.
A former friend of mine (letâs just say⌠weâve cut the cord) made the âbig career moveâ almost a decade ago. His bright idea? Join a political party.
At first, it worked. He climbed the ladder, learned the game, got close to becoming mayor. Not of New York. Not of Berlin. But a small town with big egos and dirty rules.
He wasnât chosen for his brilliance. He was chosen to play a role. They needed a puppet that smiled on stage. Meanwhile, the big shots made the real decisions behind velvet curtains.
When he couldnât take it anymore, he walked away. The values he once held began to scratch at his skin.
And thatâs when the mask came off.
The party he once served turned on him like wolves. They didnât cut off support. They went for the kill.
They tried to ruin his marriage.
They pulled the promised strings for private school. Gone.
They damaged his reputation so much that his busy hotel and restaurant died a silent death.
They made sure no one would dare support him again.
All for the crime of walking away.
Why am I telling you this?
Not just to vent. But to remind you of something deeper:
We lose our strength when we give all our energy to what we canât control.
Politics thrives on our outrage. While the real power sits untouched in our
backyards,
our kitchens,
our choices,
and our communities.
So yes, Iâm furious. And yes, Iâve had enough.
But I refuse to spend the rest of my life flipping tables. Iâd rather build one!
Outdoors, under the sun, surrounded by people who grow food, raise kids, and live with integrity. Thatâs where my vote goes now.
You still think politics will save you? Tell me how. SeriouslyâI want to hear your take in the comments.
As for me?
I confirm this now, publicly and permanently: I will never vote again.
And if I ever have to shake a politicianâs hand, you better believe Iâll check afterward if my wedding ring is still on my finger.
PS:
Access to land. Self-reliance. Regeneration.
These arenât buzzwords. Theyâre solutions. And theyâre becoming harder to reachâunless you act now.
Weâre in this weekâs theme of Build a Regenerative Lifeâand thatâs not about growing veggies or going off-grid. Itâs about taking your life back. Living on your terms.
Breaking free from systems that will never care for you.
If youâre ready for something real, start by reading the story of someone who walked the talk:
