My First Money, Martha and Authenticity
... and some housekeeping...
🏡The FARMISH Mindset🏡 *is a reader-supported publication that appears twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It is aimed at families and entrepreneurs who dream of a life in the countryside or have already taken this step. If you want to know how to make nature your strongest ally, you've come to the right place. If you find my posts helpful, please consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. Thanks!
Dear reader,
I made my first money with salad seedlings!
My grandmother was my most loyal customer.
Did I become rich with seedlings?
Certainly not!
But it formed my love for nature.
My grandmother passed away many, many years ago. But I will never forget her kindness and love for good, real food.
She was famous for two things: her Beef Stroganoff and her always-tidy and clean house. A small garden surrounded the little suburban house. Like soldiers, the tomatoes, cabbages, and salads grew in straight lines.
And I mean straight. No weed ever dared to appear between the vegetables!
Why am I telling you this?
Well, her tidy household reminded me to do some housekeeping with this newsletter.
As a regular reader, you deserve to know what’s going on with this newsletter, what I’m working on, my goals, etc.
First, my writing activities
Over the last 3 months, I’ve written and published over 50 articles. Most of them were published in online publications and magazines on www.medium.com or here on Substack.
Some were read by hundreds of people; a few were not successful. But I’m glad I could provide valuable insights or even practical advice to my readers.
And even some new perspectives, as this comment proves:
I have many more ideas to write about, so don’t worry that I will be closing "The FARMISH Mindset" newsletter anytime soon... 🙂
Comments, reactions, and invitations on podcasts show interest in my self-development approach. People want to reconnect with nature.
They seek advice for healthier lifestyle choices. And with my experience and knowledge, I’m glad to help wherever I can.
So, I’m happy to announce some new features within this publication, “The FARMISH Mindset."
Free Subscribers will get, as before, the articles I write about the topics you’re used to. And access to the archive here on Substack.
Paid Subscribers will get a lot more value for about as much as the cost of 2 coffees a month.
This includes:
One weekly, in-depth article. It will have practical advice for quick gains in one of the FARMISH mindset topics. A reminder, these topics are: Freedom, Authenticity, Relationships, Money, Innovation, Sustainability, and Health.
Access to my brain with a weekly AMA (ask me anything) session in the Substack Chat.
Once a week (I’ll tell you the day soon!) for 2 hours I will answer your questions in the chat. From gardening advise to healthier lifestyle choices and investing with permaculture principles - you set the stage.
Furthermore, as a Paid Subscriber you will get:
Unlimited access to all published articles in the archive.
100% discount on all future digital products like ebooks, PDFs, and courses. (Some are already in the working pipeline or even finished).
A lifetime 50% discount on all my coaching offers!
Access to our growing community of like-minded, freedom-loving people who want to improve their lives - the natural way. With nature as our most powerful ally.
My honest, lifelong, and deep gratitude!
(I’ll keep you updated about the detailed offer. It will be a nobrainer… Stay tuned.)
Results and goals
As of today, 27.08.2024, 59 subscribers read The FARMISH Mindset newsletter! And I even already have a paid subscriber. WOOHOOO!
A few months ago, I couldn’t imagine that someone would bother to read my words.
Is it possible to reach 100 free subscribers by the end of 2024? What do you mean?
Thank you all so much. You all make me an even happier person than I already am!
Final thoughts
I’d like to finish this newsletter with what I started it - my grandmother. Her name was Martha. She possessed a witty sense of humor, was socially adept, and genuine.
Authentic!
To live a life of authenticity seems to me a huge achievement. If you're in business, you need to focus on authenticity even more.
My latest article is about achieving your true self using permaculture principles.
Yes, unusual; I know. Happy reading.
To your freedom,
Daniel
