Still on track with your goals?
Hey everyone,
If you want to know once and forever, why your New Year's resolutions failed (again) these few thoughts are for you.
It's already March again.
A time when we are looking forward to spring, the sun is getting stronger and we enjoy being outside again. If it weren't for those stupid goals we'd set in the last December.
Yes, exactly the ones that we set every year at the turn of the year and usually bury again by the beginning of March.
But it would be so easy.
New Year's Resolutions don't work for a single reason - the clear "why" is missing.
Without the "why", the common thread in your life book is missing. The "why" defines your true motives for wanting to change things. For setting goals, and making a difference.
Here's my suggestion for today: sit down. Take a piece of paper and start writing down what is really important to you in life. Maybe it's words like family, friendships, money, etc.
In a second column, write down why these words are important to you.
Congratulations, you are on your way to seeing New Year's Resolutions as real goals in the future. The why is probably "to stay healthy for a long time".
One of the strongest key motivations for goals around fitness, eating habits, and others.
It will take a while to create this list. You will write, discard, and delete some things. In the end, however, you will have a common thread for your life.
All future goals that you set yourself will naturally fall under your "why". And that makes them achievable.
Speaking of achieving goals: one of my goals for 2024 is to help 200 people with my newsletters. If you'd like to help me reach this goal, please subscribe now so you don't miss any more SanaTerraFarm Letters.
See you soon.
Yours,
Daniel
