Hello everyone!
What do you need to be a successful entrepreneur?
Or a well-respected human being in your community?
Take a look at your library or your e-book reader. I'm sure you've read a few books on what success means. They explain:
How to create success.
How to take a company to the top.
And how to grow as a person at the same time.
But most books on self-development are one-sided and incomplete.
However, they all have one thing in common. There is constant talk of mindset. I don't deny that this is important. But is it only your morning routine that determines whether you are successful?
Or is it important that you make your bed in the morning?
What is missing in almost all books
In all the mindset books I've read, one thing is always neglected.
You.
As a person.
As part of your environment.
As part of the nature we all live in.
And that is also why people cannot implement all well-intentioned advice in the long term.
Why is this important?
Success, whether at work or home, has much to do with productivity, time management, and attitude. I agree with you on that.
However, we are also part of a system that is much more powerful than we are. And we fight it in all areas of life. Constantly.
Sometimes unknowingly.
Often out of convenience.
But what if you took advantage of the system?
Instead of fighting against it.
A fight, by the way, that you will lose anyway...!
Viewed holistically, you are much more valuable than you think. Bigger than the sum of your parts.
Whether we like it or not, we are part of nature. A system that has formed over millions of years. And has kept itself alive in a self-regulating way ever since. There must be incredible energies at play.
The system is extremely complex. And yet, on closer inspection, it is often simpler than a recipe for sauce Bolognese.
The trick is to understand and use the system to your advantage.
What makes us successful?
In my opinion, those who live in harmony with themselves in all areas of life are successful. According to your own rules, authentically and as part of nature. Our society usually measures success in terms of money. An element that is certainly important, but on closer inspection is only a consequence.
A consequence, or a chain of circumstances and actions. Moved by you!
What you can influence in life
Much of a person's life is already defined at birth and cannot be changed or can only be shaped with great difficulty. Whether you struggle with illness, whether you were born in the slums or the mansion district.
Whether your childhood was happy or a bad adaptation of a Stephen King novel.
But, as long as you're breathing, you can decide what's most important to you every day. In which areas of life do I want to improve or change today?
Areas of life
There aren't thousands of areas that influence your daily life. On closer inspection, there are only seven areas that concern you as a modern-day person.
And they can all be lived with or against nature.
These elements are:
- Freedom
- Authenticity
- Relationships
- Money
- Innovation
- Sustainability
- Health
The first letters of these most important areas of life make up the word FARMISH. A simple word in the English language. It means living on a farm, purely, in harmony with nature.
But you don't need a farm to be successful. Not even a garden. But you need the help of nature to sustain your long-term success. Anything else is shortsighted and naive.
Here you can read how I came up with the name for my mindset:
The Life-Changing Acronym That Saved My Life and Could Save Yours Too
Hi, my dear readers! Don't worry, we're not doing a grammar lesson here, but let's make sure we're talking about the same thing. Stay with me; this is going to be a long but very personal post. So, this is an acronym. The definition of an acronym. A word formed from the initial letters of a series of words, pronounced as a wo…
FARMISH - the new way to define success
Most of us have moved far away from nature in the course of our lives. Myself included. If you've read the above article, you know it nearly killed me.
Well, I'm still here and get to help my amazing coaching clients. With surprisingly simple insights into nature and its Key Principles.
What helped me, can't fail you completely.
Final Thoughts
Nature knows a few principles and laws that it has been applying successfully for millions of years. I have implemented these principles for myself in all FARMISH areas of life.
And my life has improved enormously. Best health, joie de vivre, and an authentic lifestyle are just the visible evidence.
My life's various aspects have undergone significant transformations, affecting me alone. And I consider this my success.
Success as an entrepreneur and as a person depends on far more powers than you might think.
It's not just the right attitude, productivity, and a meticulously planned life calendar.
In the FARMISH areas of life, you can tap into the energy of principles with the right application and understanding.
It's a good feeling to have the most powerful system on the planet as your ally.
The name of the ally?
It's called nature!
The mindset that includes nature's principles and wisdom?
The FARMISH mindset
As always,
Thank you so much for spending time with my thoughts!
Big hug, and have a great, relaxing weekend,
Yours,
Daniel
